I want to start off this blog with a introduction. I’m a makeup fanatic for the past couple of years; I was a late bloomer at the age of 24. I’ve always been leery of indie makeup brands, I’ve never purchase them nor tested them. I know some people swear by indie companies. One day, I typed into Google “insert indie makeup company reviews” and I was shocked and dismayed at the quality of reviews. I’m not saying that all makeup blogs are like this, there are a few exceptional reviewers out there but they’re a few fish in a large ocean.
The reviews were bias and overwhelming positive with giveaways and coupon codes. Evey time I see this, I take that review with a grain of salt. No swatches, no swatches with primer or flash, no 8-hours-late review. Enough is enough, thus ShimmerofColor is born.
